By Car
Campbell River is the nearest city to Quadra Island and has an airport offering regularly scheduled flights to and from Vancouver. The BC Ferries terminal is a short 13 minute drive from the airport and the ferry crossing to Quathiaski Cove on Quadra Island is only 10 minutes long. Travel time to the property from Quathiaski Cove is about 45 mins, with a distance of 26 km.

Driving Directions from Vancouver to Quathiaski Cove Ferry (2 hours)
Take BC Ferries to Nanaimo from Horseshoe Bay to Departure Bay or from Tsawwassen to Duke Point. After disembarking the ferry follow Highway 19 North (The Island Highway). Follow Highway 19 to Campbell River (approx. 150 km). Once in Campbell River, stay on the highway and look for signs for the Quadra Ferry. The Terminal will be on your right just before you enter the heart of down town.

Driving Directions from Quathiaski Cove Ferry to Property (45 mins)
Go straight off the ferry and head southeast on Anderson Road towards Harbour Brook Road for about 800 metres. Turn left on Heriot Bay Road for about 270 metres. Turn left on West Road for about 5.8 km. Turn left on Hyacinth Bay Road for about 9.5 km. Turn left on Granite Bay Road for about 10 km to the property on your right-hand side.

Area Data : Quadra Island is part of the Discovery Islands archipelago, which is located along the Inside Passage between Campbell River, on the north end of Vancouver Island and the mainland of British Columbia. Quadra Island is 34 km long with an average width of 9 km and most of its 3,800 full-time residents live on the southern half of the island. The two main population centers are Quathiaski Cove and Heriot Bay, and both locations have shops, post offices and restaurants. Quathiaski Cove also has a gas station and credit union. A tourist information booth, open from mid-June until Labour Day weekend, is located next to the Quadra Credit Union. At the Saturday Farmers Market held in Quathiaski Cove, vendors’ tables are loaded with fresh farm produce, delicious baking and unique crafts. Visitors enjoy browsing in island gift shops; finding everything they need in the stores.

Granite Bay is situated in close proximity to Small Inlet Marine Provincial Park, which provides a well-protected anchorage for boaters and includes Newton Lake, a small lake suitable for swimming.  The park also includes a well-maintained portage route to Octopus Islands Marine Park, which is a destination place for kayakers and divers alike.  The portage route can be accessed from Granite Bay by foot via the Newton Lake Trail head, which is within walking distance of the property.
