To find a pristine property like this at a reasonable price level is a rarity these days. The property gently slops from the back of the property toward the ocean. The entire property is usable and building sites are unlimited. A very nice creek flows through the property near the East boundary. The creek would be a great source for fresh water and perhaps a mirohyro plant for a good portion of the year. The location of the property is on the North Shore of Okeover Inlet, which is the side that gets the most sun. The North shore of Okeover Inlet is not serviced by Hydro. There are very few privately owned properties on that side. The few that are there are recreational properties for most but there are a few people that live there year-round.

Until a few years ago this property and others in the area where only accessible by boat. This property is now accessible year-round on a good quality gravel road. The property itself is very private and lends itself to a number of possibilities. This oceanfront acreage is tucked away from the everyday hustle and bustle yet only 30 minute drive to town. Recreational retreat for one or more families. The boating in the immediate area is fantastic, Desolation Sound, Hompfray Channel, Teakerne Arm, Bute Inlet, Toba Inlet, the list goes on. The property is zoned Rural (not specifically zoned). Building permits are not required.

Access : From Powell River travel north to Southview Road. Travel Southview Road 8 km from the highway. Nearing the 8 km mark you will cross over a bridge, this is the creek that flows through the property. Continue traveling for another ¼ to ½ mile until you see a road on the left that takes you toward the water. Follow the road to the end. This is the start of the property.

Desolation Sound Provincial Marine Park
Desolation Sound Provincial Marine Park (8,256 hectares) is British Columbia’s largest marine park. It includes more than 60 km of shoreline, several offshore islands and a gradually rising upland that contains a number of lakes, waterways and waterfalls. Unwin Lake, a 173-hectare body of fresh water, is the parks largest lake. Set back to the North and East, Coast Mountains soar to more than 2,400 metres. The warm waters surrounding the area teem with sea life. Ideal for swimming, scuba diving and feasting on your catch of the day, salmon, cod, prawns, crab, clams and oysters. Plenty other tasty morsels lie beneath on the oceans floor; to acquire them you must put on your scuba gear and get a little wet. Or you could take a short drive by boat or car to the Laughing Oyster Restaurant at the head of Okeover Inlet which is one, if not the best, place to eat in the overall area of Powell River.

Lund
Named after a city in Sweden, Lund was established in 1899 when the Thulin Brothers started to build the hotel, which is still in use today. Recently the hotel has changed ownership and has seen a major renovation. For most of the early years Lund served as a port for fisherman. Today Lund thrives on its attraction from tourists seeking the neighboring Gulf Islands and marine parks.

Powell River and the Sunshine Coast
Powell River and the Sunshine Coast is year-round sea to mountain recreation area. The region services include an 18 hole championship golf course, lawn bowling green, curling rink, a 16 lane Bowling alley, tennis courts, an all-weather 400 metre track as well as many baseball, fast ball, softball and soccer fields.

Miles of hiking trails lead to beautiful lookouts, waterfalls, or peaceful lakes which can be viewed along the 180 km Sunshine Coast Trail and numerous recreational areas can be reached by logging roads, owned by the logging companies. Boating and sports fishing are ardently pursued as all season sports. Marinas and Government docks are available to residents and visitors.

Powell River is known as the “HOT SPOT” for winter diving in North America. The “Mermaid” at Mermaid Cove in Saltery Bay Provincial Park is an extra special attraction. The area also has some of the largest Wolf eel and Octopus in the world. Canoeing may also be enjoyed on the quiet lakes of Powell River or you can take in the Powell Forest Canoe Route Circuit. Ocean canoeing and kayaking is very popular in Jervis Inlet, the Copeland Islands Marine Park, the Malaspina Inlet with Okeover Arm and Desolation Sound. For all the nature lovers and sightseers, Powell River has many parks, viewpoints and beaches to explore, and the hiking club will help you take advantage of the many beautiful trails.
