Stunning private estate on 50 acres with valley, ocean and Mount Baker views. 30 minutes from downtown Victoria. Main home, caretaker/guest home, barn, workshop & equipment storage. Turnkey, meticulously maintained grounds and improvements.
Ponderosa Ranch is a 50 acre private country estate situated in the highly desirable community of Cobble Hill, a short 30-minute drive from Victoria.
This unassuming property is minutes off the Island Highway and accessed off a quiet country road. The driveway into the property is centered between two other properties which front Freeman Road, and it is easy to miss. Once you have turned onto the driveway, it leads up around the bend to a security gate that can’t be seen from the main road. As you stop at the gate, you now begin to see what was hidden behind a privacy buffer of private land owned by the neighbors. As you enter the fully-automated iron gate, complete with telephone keypad and security camera, you will wind your way up the paved driveway through a white perimeter fenced path through sections of emerald green grazing areas up the hill to the estate.
As you near the estate you are greeted by a large water feature, where a jet pump sprays the water high into the air from a sizable pond situated near the main home.
Once you reach the top of the hill you begin to see the significance of all the improvements, and it becomes apparent how well this property is maintained and the pride of ownership. You get the feeling that a blade of grass isn’t out of place and as you start to look around you then realize, from the extremely private vantage point of the main home, that there is a spectacular view out over the valley and off into the distance of a really nice ocean view and on a clear day an impressive snow capped view of Mount Baker in Washington State.
